Text Book Adoption Information

Anderson County Schools adopts new textbooks and instructional materials in accordance with the Tennessee Department of Education's Guidelines. Information about the adoption process can be found on the Tennessee Department of Education website https://www.tn.gov/education/textbook-services/textbook-commission.html

The adoption cycle is for six years. The 2023-24 textbook adoption cycle includes Math and CTE. The State recommended textbook list was approved in October 2022. A list of all of the approved textbooks up for adoption can be found at  https://www.tn.gov/education/textbook-services/textbook-online-samples.html

The Anderson County Math adoption committee is at work reviewing the material from the approved list as well as teaching sample lessons to gauge student interest and content.

Parents and Community members are invited to participate in the process of reviewing and adopting math textbooks and instructional materials for the 2023-24 school year. Samples of the math textbooks are available to view at the Central Office, 101 South Main Street, Clinton, TN 37716 Suite 500 until March 10th. Parents and Community members are asked to provide feedback at instructional@acs.ac
