It's almost basketball time in Anderson County! The Education Foundation's Annual Pre-Season Basketball Tournament begins on Monday, October 21, at Anderson County High School. Games will be held on Monday the 21st, Tuesday the 22nd, Thursday the 24th, and all day on Saturday the 26th. Games will begin at 4:45 PM on Monday, Tuesday & Thursday. Games will begin at 9:30 AM on Saturday the 26th.
We have a special announcement about Monday's event! University of Tennessee Basketball players J.P. Estrella and Cameron Carr will be appearing to sign autographs and might be doing a podcast from the tournament site. Due to practice obligations, they likely will not arrive until 7:00 PM or shortly after. We will have tournament t-shirts like the one pictured that can be purchased for $10 and signed by J.P. and Cameron. You can also bring your own item to be signed.
Admission to the tournament has been reduced to $5 per person in 2024. Children under school age are free and ACS/CCS staff members are free with their school ID. Proceeds from the tournament are directed to the Education Foundation's STEM Grants Program that provides grants to classrooms across Anderson County and Clinton City Schools to enhance STEM programming in our partner school districts!
